Who we are
PLOXX (ploxx.tv) is an online random video chat service. We take data protection seriously.
Data we collect
- Anonymous identifier: a
ploxx_uidcookie (32 hex characters) generated on first visit. Used to link your wallet, friends and stats across sessions. - IP address: logged only when you're reported, for moderation.
- Nickname (optional): chosen by you, editable anytime.
- Friend code: auto-generated, used for adding friends.
- Gameplay data: level, XP, badges, missions, match and message stats.
- Private messages (DMs) between friends: stored on our servers, capped at 100 latest per conversation.
- Webcam videos: never stored, transmitted peer-to-peer between the two browsers. Exception: a screenshot may be sent to moderation upon report.
Legal basis (GDPR)
- Contract performance (art. 6.1.b GDPR) for service operation.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) for moderation and security.
- Consent (art. 6.1.a) for non-essential cookies.
Retention
- Wallet and profile: while account is active. Deleted on request.
- Report IPs: 12 months.
- DMs: latest 100 messages per conversation (auto-rotation).
