Build a team online, out of people you met at random
The hard part about playing as a team is not the game: it is finding the people. PLOXX takes the problem from the other end - you meet strangers at random first, keep the ones you click with, and together you form a squad that takes on the others.
Meet first, recruit second
On most games you either already know people, or you go through recruitment servers where nobody really talks. The order is backwards: you are asked to assemble a team before meeting anyone.
On PLOXX you start with conversations. One click, one stranger. When someone is funny or easy to talk to, you add them with their 6-character friend code. Your squad gets built out of people you actually enjoyed, not a username spotted in a listing.
How a squad works
- 2 to 10 members. Creating a squad costs 200 Plox, the currency you earn by playing.
- A light hierarchy. The leader runs the team and can name up to 2 officers who can also start challenges.
- A collective level. The XP each member earns feeds the squad level, which unlocks tiered banners.
- Weekly quests. Shared objectives (clashes, matches, XP) with rewards to claim.
Clashes: how a fight plays out
A challenge starts a clash between two squads:
- 12 hours of preparation. Enough to rally members and set up boosts.
- Automatic resolution. Duels run one after another in 1v1 based on each fighter's gear (weapons, armour), then you watch the outcome in the arena.
- Numbers matter. An outnumbering squad has a real advantage, but fatigue keeps it from turning into a massacre.
Every squad has an ELO rating starting at 1000 that never drops below 100. The "random challenge" looks for a squad with a nearby rating: close clashes rather than blowouts. Each new season, ratings move halfway back to 1000 - the best keep an edge, halved.
What you need to start
Nothing in particular: no account, no email, no download. You open the site, you meet people, and you build your team once you have found the right ones.
To keep the team busy between clashes: watch a video together, a few rounds of Would You Rather, or a 2v2 against another duo.
Frequently asked questions
How many people are in a squad?
From 2 to 10 members. Creating one costs 200 Plox, earned by playing - never real money.
How do I find people for my team?
By meeting strangers at random in matches, then adding the ones you click with via their 6-character friend code. It is the opposite of recruitment servers: you already know the people before you recruit them.
How is a clash between two squads settled?
A challenge opens 12 hours of preparation, then 1v1 duels run automatically based on each fighter's gear. You watch the outcome in the arena.
Can you pay to win?
No. Gear is bought with Plox, the currency earned by playing. What you can buy with real money (PLOXX Pro, cosmetics) gives no advantage in combat.
Do I have to play every day?
No, but a clash runs 12 hours of preparation and squad quests are weekly: an active squad does better than a dormant one.
