Chat app for teens: made for 15+, not for everyone
Most chat apps say they are for everyone, which really means adults and teens in the same pool. PLOXX does the opposite: 15 and up only, and 15-17 year-olds are matched with each other, separately from adults. Plus you never have to show your face.
The thing most chat apps get wrong
Almost every random chat app has a minimum age buried in its terms, and almost none acts on it. A 15-year-old and a 40-year-old land in the same matching pool, and the app hopes nothing happens.
PLOXX treats age as a matching rule, not a legal formality. Everyone declares their date of birth on arrival - and cannot change it afterwards - and minors are matched with minors. It is the single most useful safety feature in this category, and it is also the rarest.
You choose how visible you are
Being asked to turn a camera on to talk to strangers is a lot, especially at 15. So it is never required:
- Avatar - build a character (hair, eyes, outfit, neon frame) and appear as it. Expressive, present, and your real face is never transmitted.
- Text only - no camera, no mic.
- Webcam - if and when you want, with whoever you want.

It's a game, not just a chat
A chat app where you only talk gets boring fast. Here the conversation is the entry point:

What it costs, honestly
Matching, text and video chat, language and interest filters, friends, mini-games, levels and moderation are free with no time limit. Nothing that affects gameplay is for sale.
What is optional: cosmetics and a comfort subscription, bought with in-game currency. The currency you use for cosmetics is earned by playing. Nobody wins a squad battle because they paid.
The rules, and why they exist
- 15 and up. Under 15, this is not the right place - and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
- No nudity, no sexual content. Instant ban, no discussion.
- Report anything off. One tap sends a snapshot to the moderation team. Serious cases involving a minor are prioritised and can be escalated to the authorities.
- Never share your full name, address or school. The platform never asks for them either.
- Skip freely. If a conversation feels wrong, leave. You owe a stranger nothing.
